Being a blogger can be hard, especially when you have to continuously come up with new and relevant content to write about. Just because you're having a brain lapse doesn't mean the post has to get rescheduled. Using guest bloggers is never a bad thing. It opens up a network between you and another blogger, and who knows, he might have some great topics to write about. He may enjoy writing for you and post several times over the following few months. Have guest bloggers so you can relax and worry about other problems that need to be solved.

Optimize Your LinkedIn
Posted on 07:15 by Unknown
LinkedIn is a powerful tool not only for finding a job, but also networking with business professionals. Optimizing LinkedIn could increase the chances a recruiter will find and contact you in response to a job position that may be open. Making sure you are ranked as high as possible on the search pages will increase your chances for success. To do this, you want to use keywords as much as possible.
If for instance you are in the marketing industry, including the keyword "marketing" in your title, past job history, resume, profile summary, and any other field that you feel the word "marketing" would fit into a sentence, is ideal. The more present a keyword is on your LinkedIn profile, the better ranking your profile page will result.
However, do not make this spammy throughout your page. You want your information to flow while others are reading it. If it looks suspicious, as in you are doing it for the sole purpose to gain a higher rank, it may turn off a person or recruiter from reaching out to you.

Email lists are very useful in getting promotional material out to consumers. Now this is not to be mistaken for sending pointless and irritating spam mail twice a day. This trick should be used for professional purposes only. LinkedIn, the Facebook for professional networking, is a very useful platform for starting a professional email list. Here is how to create an email list from your LinkedIn contacts:
Log into Linkedin and click on “Contacts.” Move your eyes down towards the bottom right of the screen and you will see a link named “Export connections.” Click on this link, and fill out the CAPTCHA (security image), as well as selecting the format to save this file. Lastly, you will open this file with the proper program and you now have a list of contacts with emails.

Posted on 11:54 by Unknown
Facebook has been constantly updating pages to allow more customization without becoming MySpace. A good way to mix up your page, is changing the "Default Landing Tab." When users first arrive at a companies Facebook page, they view the Info tab or the Wall tab. If you would like to change this to something different, for instance a new application you loaded onto your company page, here is how to do it:
*You must be an admin on the page in order to edit it*
Go to Edit Page. Click on Manage Permissions, then scroll to where it says "Default Landing Tab." Click the drop down menu and select the page visitors will view on arrival. Click Save Changes at the bottom and you're all set. It is that easy.

Shortened URL
Posted on 07:15 by Unknown
For most of you on social media sites are aware of the character limits put in place to stop you from writing lengthy paragraphs in each post. Twitter is notorious for its 140 character limit, which makes micro-blogging often times difficult, especially if you are posting a link to another page. To combat this restriction, websites have spawned that will shorten the URL for you. Platforms such as TweetDeck and HootSuite give you the option to shorten the URL, but if you are not using these sites, here is a website you can use for free: www.tinyurl.com

Facebook Feedback
Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
Facebook is a very useful tool for businesses who want to not only connect with their loyal consumer following, but to also get feedback on a first hand account. Consumers are able to quickly access your company page and leave comments or suggestions that you can use to better their experience. Negative feedback isn't necessarily a bad thing. It will help you better accommodate your target consumer and inform you on any areas that may need work.
