Create an Empty Google+ Circle to Save Posts

Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
When browsing Google+, did you ever see a post that caught your eye that you wanted to save and use later? Instead of sharing it right then and there, here’s a trick so that you can easily refer to it at a later date.
Create a new Google+ circle named “Save," and leave it empty. Do not add anyone into this circle. Ever. When you find a post you enjoy but want to save, just simply “share” this post with your “Save” group. When you click on the “Save” stream, it will only show posts you shared with the group. This will allow you to easily navigate to them and re-share them with other circles at a later date.

Facebook Login on Website

Posted on 07:09 by Unknown
These days, Internet users are much more concerned about their privacy and are less likely to supply their information to a website in order to sign up for anything. With over 800 million users, there is a good chance that people viewing your website or blog are also Facebook users, so why not make the process simple? Using Facebook Connect, your visitors can log in to your website using their Facebook account. Users can sign in to leave a comment, purchase something or to enter a promotion. This will entice users to engage with your site more because they do not have to spend time filling a sign up form out!
For instructions on installing Facebook connect, visit the developers site here.

Getting Your Google+ To Show In Search Results

Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
With the new update to Google’s search engine, you can now see people in your Google+ circles included in your search results. This is Google’s attempt to get more social interaction and entice more people and businesses to jump on board. This tactic is great because you can see who in your circles posts relevant content to your search terms. It will be scattered throughout the search pages based on relevance. If you’re relevant enough, your business or profile may also appear in “Related People/ Pages” section to the left of the results.

In order to show up, you will have to post at least every 72 hours but this is not to say it is a good idea to spam your following. You should be posting relevant, useful content several times within a 72 hour time-frame to help your chances of having your Google+ page ranked within the SERP.

Keep Your Brand's Twitter Account Public

Posted on 08:20 by Unknown
In today's ever-changing social landscape, businesses will do just about anything to gain a competitive advantage and increase their social following. Sometimes businesses and brands make their Twitter account private so that only people they accept as followers can see their posts. This can create more work for your company since you’ll have to accept requests from anyone who wants to view your tweets. It may also frustrate people who are trying to connect with your company since they will have to wait until you are both connected before they can further engage you. If you’re protecting your tweets from competitors, it may be hurting your campaign. Make your account public and build your brand.

Why Should People Like or Follow Your Brand?

Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
When it comes to gaining a following on any social media network, simply asking people to follow or Like your company is easy. And yes, telling someone to do it may result in him or her following your orders. But for a majority of the time, if the person or audience does not know why they should Like or follow your company, chances are they won’t. Give them a reason! Whether it is because you are offering free products on your Facebook page or doing a weekly raffle using Twitter, give them a reason to follow your brand!

Do Not Post Content in All Caps

Posted on 07:47 by Unknown
CURIOUS WHY YOU SHOULDN’T POST IN ALL CAPS? It can become extremely annoying. When using capital letters, it gives the impression that you are shouting. It may be necessary to make a single word capitalized to emphasize it, but not an entire sentence. Posting in capitalized letters may also come off as unprofessional from a business standpoint. People don’t enjoy being yelled at in real life or on social media sites. So before your next post, make sure you turn off the “Caps Lock.”

Get Your Employees Involved

Posted on 07:00 by Unknown
Social media marketing can go far beyond just your company posting content to their social networks. There is a high probability that your employees enjoy their personal time on the same exact networks your company is on. So why not ask them to help? This isn’t asking them to sell your product or service, but they can certainly mention their company's brand pages! Even if an employee does post content in regards to products or services, they have the ability to build your brand's exposure. Don’t just rely on your social media campaign, ask your employees to become brand advocates too!
