Some companies who use social media to promote their products or services tend to make the common mistake of only sharing information about their brand. Balancing the content you post between promotional material, valuable and industry-related information, and engaging posts will help form a brand personality and image. Don’t pitch your products and services too often, as your followers may become tired of the posts and unfollow or unlike your brand. Social media marketing is a two-way street; you get back what you put in. Create a community and provide a space that people enjoy visiting. The more people who return to your social sites, the better chance you have of obtaining a customer.
