If you manage your own blog, you know how important subscribers are to your traffic analytics. Keeping your loyal followers up-to-date on new posts and updates is crucial to building a successful blog. But what happens if you want to give the reader the option to subscribe to a specific category and not your entire blog? It is very simple. For example, our RSS feed URL is www.progressivemediaconcepts.com/feed/. When a person subscribes to the PMC blog, that is the URL that will notify them of new content. If we wanted to give our readers the option to subscribe to content written about Facebook, for example, we would use the URL: www.progressivemediaconcepts.com/category/Facebook/feed.
Now when you subscribe, only posts from the Facebook category will be sent to you. Give it a try on your own website. Type in your URL with the same format and see if it works! Leave us your feedback!
